Explaining Resident Medical Students’ Experiences of Performance During COVID-19: A Qualitative Study

Background: The COVID-19 crisis has created many problems, including a negative impact on student education. Objectives: study aimed to understand the resident medical students' performance experiences during pandemic, which is essential for future planning. Methods: present qualitative was performed 15 students in Alborz University of Medical Sciences, Iran, from September November 2020. Data were analyzed using conventional content analysis. Results: Analysis meaning units interviews showed four categories describing as follows: Fear and anxiety, need support, sense responsibility, lack educational facilities. Conclusions: that pandemic had posed incredible new challenges students. Assessing mental health residents, providing adequate protective equipment, support authorities community members can create empathy, reduce feeling fear, increase their accompaniment with managing programs. Due problems training residents it seems necessary propose rehabilitation courses improve program various fields.
